Poe's horror

I love to be mystified and scared of Edgar Allan Poe's horror.

The originality and the macabre of Poe's tales will leave your heart pounding and you breathless.

Don't you love Poe?

John Buchan finds The 39 Steps

The two world wars has always been an intriguing background to many classic novels such as The 39 Steps by John Buchan.

Wanted by the police for the death of Scudder, and hunted by the country's enemy agents, Richard Hannay has become a fugitive in his own country.

Time is running out and Hannay has to find the thirty-nine steps fast to save his beloved country.

Love this thriller!

Murder mystery from the master of the craft

When considering all murder mysteries, none is as intriguing as this installation Ms Agatha Christie's classic.

The insidious plot, an exotic setting with a sprinkle of the Turkish Delight and a wide array of romantic characters.

Collaboration and conspiracy in the name of revenge that culminate in an explosive death.

Murder on the Orient Express. Love it.

Interesting character

A character in a detective novel must be as interesting as he is intriguing. His detection method has to be far superior to both his admirers and colleagues.

However, his nemesis must as equal, thus confirming his status both as the master tactician and strategist.

Throw in a murder or two, plus an international incidence, then we have to burn the midnight oil to unravel the thread leading to a whamming climax!

Don't you just love detective stories!

Thriller. My favourite!

A good thriller novel can keep you awake through the night. It grips your imagination and makes your heart beat faster.

The excitement of ploughing through the plot and sub-plots will drive a chill into your spine.

You just cannot put it down, lest the villain haunt you in your dreams and conspire with the stillness of the night to rob you of what is left of the much-needed serenity.

Ah..., thriller, my favourite!
